About me

Now

At IKEA Forus in Stavanger I work as Graphic Communication Leader where I am responsible for all graphic communication from entry to exit. I have also been the art director for the internal magazine, InForus, as well as the editor of the local web page IKEA.no/Forus

These days I work with IKEA Expansion in Norway. I am planning and producing the Graphic Communication in Sale support areas (Customer service, IKEA Food and Staff areas) in the new store in Bergen and the rebuilding of the store in Stavanger.

Also, I just attended a training for IKEA Communication and Interior design specialists over six monts. Studying style history, the history and the future of IKEA, and getting to visit Älmhult, Malmö, Barcelona and Milano. Combining knowledge with travel is <3

Past

I am originally from Skien in Telemark. In high school I studied Advertising, Illustration and Design in Porsgrunn and worked at FotoKnudsen while preparing for a year at the University in Oslo where I studied Art history.

All though art history is very interesting, I wanted to work with graphic communication again. So, I started a Bachelor of Media, ICT and Design at Volda University College. My degree contents studies of media literacy, science and production as well as multimedia and event production, editorial and strategic design, webmastering and programming, pedagogical use of ICT and interdiciplinary project working.

During my time in Volda I spent all my spare time on doing what I love: graphic design! Student newspaper/magazine Peikestokken, festivals DOKFILM and VEKA.

In 2008 I spent six months abroad studying Asian and Australian culture at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, with field trips to Malaysia, Japan and around in Australia. I also travelled to the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia while writing the major assignment.
